Silly Boats

A pleasant Sunday Afternoon was spent wandering down to Swy-Y-Lana lagoon at Nanaimo for the 'Silly Boats' festival. This is a series of races in home made boats built out of anything you can find in your garage. The only snag is that all construction has to be completed in four hours.

Wife and I watched the horseplay and duckings and one heat (Won by one of the local 'So Serious' Coffee Shops) before ambling off out of the heat of the day.

I also took a couple of shots of the local Seaplane Terminal. Although only one company is represented here, a total of three use this facility, flying to and from Vancouver, and anywhere you care to charter them. Never fails to amuse me.
